Gallup Biograde is the new non-hazardous formulation from the popular brand, Gallup. It is a foliar applied total herbicide for the control of annual and perennial grass and broad-leaved weeds. It can be used in many crops, for the destruction of grassland, in orchards, green cover on land not being used for production, forestry and non-crop areas. This is a quality glyphosate formulation which will control all general weeds and grasses. Leaf symptoms (usually a reddening and then yellowing of the foliage) are first seen on grass weeds; the same symptoms appear slightly later on broad-leaved weeds. If you are treating horsetail we recommend using Diamond. Horses and livestock should be excluded from treated areas until all poisonous weeds (such as ragwort) have died and there is no visible evidence of the dead weed.
This 5-litre pressure sprayer is ideal for those wanting to carry out small amounts of spraying. It is made from a tough and durable, but still lightweight, plastic. This sprayer comes with a fully adjustable nozzle which will go from a fine cone to a full jet by turning it. It also has a built-in pressure relief valve to make sure you do not exceed the maximum pressure. For doing larger areas it has a handy trigger lock and shoulder strap.
The Blue Dye
Blue-gem ® is a food grade blue dye that is mixed in the spray tank with herbicides and pesticides to help improve accuracy. An integral part of spraying, Blue-gem will identify the sprayed area by temporarily dying the area. The treated area stays blue for a few days after application (how long it remains will depend on the surface) and then fades with sunlight or washes away with rain. Using a spray indicator, such as Blue-gem, will in turn save you money and time as you are not missing any areas or overdosing any areas by spraying more than once. It can be used in a knapsack or boom sprayer and is compatiable with herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, moss killers and liquid fertilisers.
