Research Highlights Risks to Grassroots Football 25th July 24
Recent research by Forza and Net World Sports showed seven out of 10 grassroots football clubs felt they didn't have sufficient funding to support their activities last year. In addition, a huge 92% of grassroots football clubs faced cancellations due to adverse weather conditions.
It's a shocking set of statistics and will be disheartening reading for anyone involved in grassroots sport. But help is at hand. While we can't control the weather, there is much that can be done to improve pitch resilience.
We're working with the Football Foundation this year to highlight initiatives like the Grass Pitch Maintenance Fund - a scheme designed to help clubs transform the quality of their pitches. It's something we feel passionate about at Agrigem, and we'll be helping to raise awareness of this grant and other tools and products to help grassroots clubs throughout this year.

The Wet Weather Fungal Disease Challenge 22nd July 24
An abysmal start to summer this year has been marked by heavy rain and its twin weather challenge, humidity. Both pose huge threats for green keepers around the UK who remain ever aware of outbreaks of fungal disease.
At the time of writing, Turf Managers in the south of the UK are managing outbreaks of Dollar Spot following longer than expected periods of rain and humidity. When sound preventative strategies (including good nutrition and moisture management) are in place, outbreaks can be disheartening.
With luck, the weather will improve this summer, meaning fewer outbreaks. For faster remediation, Plazma remains the sector’s highest-performing fungicide.
