Full Description
John Chambers Pro Hedgerow Mix 100% Wildflower Seed is a specialist blend created for professional installers who need consistent establishment and long-lasting results. Part of the John Chambers Pro Range, it has been carefully refined to include more commonly found wildflower species, making it well-suited to a wide variety of sites and growing conditions.
Designed specifically for use alongside hedgerows, woodland edges and other areas of partial shade, this mix helps create a naturally attractive wildflower habitat that supports biodiversity and encourages pollinators. Like all John Chambers Pro mixes, it's backed by John Chambers' promise of superior-quality wildflower seed for your project.
For best results, sow onto a clean weed-free site and remove or control annual weeds using mechanical cultivation or a suitable contact herbicide. Persistent perennial weeds such as docks, thistles, nettles and couch grass should be treated in advance with an appropriate total weed killer such as Roundup Pro Active. Once clear, cultivate the ground to create a fine, level seedbed. Broadcast the seed mix evenly, then roll to firm the surface. Strong soil to seed contact is essential for reliable germination.
Wildflower Species 100%:
Bluebell, Foxglove, Wild Angelica, Yarrow, White Campion, Oxeye Daisy
Please note the varieties listed may vary according to availability. Any substitutions made, will be of the nearest variety that is equivalent in quality and quantity where available.
Our Recommendation
- Sow at 1-2g per m².
- Shake the bag well before use.
- For the best results, mix the seed with dry sand, dry sifted topsoil or sawdust and evenly broadcast.
- Lightly rake and roll to ensure the seed sits in moist soil.
